***Update***I have been in contact with the seller and they are shipping me a completely new set even though it was just the color that was wrong. They have been very pleasant to work with, and I look forward to making future purchases from them. I also took the opportunity to provide design feedback and they were super receptive. I figured out that a small piece of painters tape over the tag completely resolves this issue. Once I get the replacement masks, I’ll update on their quality. Perhaps my first set was just a bad batch?Original review:I wanted to like these masks so much. I spent forever picking them out. I wanted something that came up and peaked on my nose. My biggest issue with my current masks is that I am constantly pulling them up and then they get caught in my lashes. These masks feel like great quality, but the sewing ruins them. The center seam is not lined up with the actual center of the mask. This isn’t just nit-picky aesthetics, the off-center seam means that the mask pulls crooked on your face and sits awkwardly. (I folded the red at the seam so you can see how it doesn’t line up in the pic.) The worst part is that inside each mask is a plastic tag that was trimmed with a hot knife to melt the edges and prevent unraveling, but this means that there are hard little edges of melted plastic lining the tag and it is SUPER scratchy. If I were to keep these, I would def have to take a seam ripper to them and attempt to remove the tags without ruining the masks. In addition to off center, the sewing is wobbly not very professional looking. The yellow mask has black fuzz or a dust bunny sewn right into the edge of it. The elastic is also pretty thick and noticeable behind the ears. You would have to wear ear savers if you were going to wear these for any sort of duration. They are a bigger size and do a good job of covering up most of my lower face. At 6’ I probably have a bigger face than most women (Is face size proportional to height?) so this mask may swallow you if you are petite. I know that no mask is going to fit everyone perfectly, but I feel like a simple thing that ppl could do is, instead of making masks vertically symmetrical is to make the peak for the nose a tad more towards the top of the mask. Lastly, I was sent different colors than the colors shown in the description. The seller has been responsive so far and indicated that they are shipping me the corrected colors. If they make it right, then that isn’t really a ding against them. Mistakes happen. I just dont know if I am keeping the masks. I am pretty disappointed, esp for the price.
